Support options

Our free NHS stop smoking support is here to help you quit for good. Every journey is unique, and our expert advisors will work with you to create a personalised plan that works for you. No lectures, no judgement – just practical advice, tools, and plenty of encouragement.

Choose from a range of stop smoking support options available across Wales. Mix and match services to find what works best for you and boost your chances of success.

Telephone support

Need someone to talk to? Our friendly, trained advisors are just a call away. You’ll get regular check-ins and encouragement at times that suit you. We’re here to listen and guide you every step of the way offering confidential, non-judgemental support.

One-to-one support

Prefer face-to-face? Meet with a dedicated stop smoking expert at a local venue near you. This could include your local community centre, nearby hospital or your community pharmacy, our friendly team will be able to tell you what’s available nearby! With expert, in-person advice and support, you’ll have everything you need to succeed.

Group sessions

Join thousands of others on the same journey as you! Share experiences, build motivation and support each other in a positive, (non-judgemental) environment. Together with others, you’ll have the best chance of quitting smoking for good.

Stop smoking medication

Managing cravings can be tough, especially within the first few weeks but you don’t have to face them alone. Get up to £250 worth of free Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) like patches or gum to help you stay smoke-free and in control. If suitable, we can also help you access prescription only medication such as Varenicline to help you become smoke-free. Support lasts up to 12 weeks and our expert advisors will recommend the best options for you.
